OnePlus Nord 6 Camera Specs and Durability Details Leak Ahead of India Launch

OnePlus Nord 6 design and camera setup with dual rear camera

The OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to launch in India very soon, and ahead of its official debut, OnePlus has been actively teasing key specifications and features of the upcoming device. As anticipation builds, the company has now officially revealed the camera configuration of the smartphone.

In addition, the dedicated microsite for the OnePlus Nord 6 on a major e-commerce platform has been updated, confirming important durability details, including the handset’s ingress protection (IP) rating. This update comes shortly after the brand announced that the device will arrive in April, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.

According to a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 6 will feature a dual rear camera system. The setup is led by a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia primary sensor, which supports 2x optical zoom, dual-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS), and a multi-focus sensor for enhanced clarity and detail.

Complementing the main camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 112-degree field of view, allowing users to capture wider scenes such as landscapes and group shots with ease.

The OnePlus Nord 6 is also expected to feature a 32-megapixel front camera with a multi-focus system, designed for sharper selfies and clearer video calls. The sensor will be housed inside a punch-hole cutout on the display, maintaining a clean and modern look.

On the video front, the device will support 4K video recording at 60fps using its primary rear camera, making it a strong contender for users who prioritize mobile photography and content creation.

In terms of durability, OnePlus appears to be pushing boundaries in this segment. The updated microsite confirms that the handset will come with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, offering strong protection against dust, water, and even high-pressure water jets—features rarely seen together in this price range.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 6 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor from Qualcomm, delivering strong performance for both everyday use and heavy multitasking. The octa-core chipset will be paired with an Adreno 835 GPU, ensuring smooth graphics performance for gaming and high-performance applications.

The device is expected to offer up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, providing fast data access speeds and a seamless user experience.

On the battery side, the OnePlus Nord 6 stands out with a massive 9,000mAh battery, making it one of the largest capacities in its segment. It will support 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up the battery, along with 27W wired reverse charging, enabling the phone to charge other devices when needed.
